The "Practice Makes Progress" mystery quilt along is just what you need! This four week project uses cursive writing and simple continuous line drawings to make is easy for you to start free motion quilting, get the practice you need to improve, and have some fun in the process.
This is not your typical mystery quilt either! You receive the instructions for piecing the quilt as soon as you sign up so you can make it ahead of time. (Don't have time to make the quilt? No problem! You can follow along with practice pieces and make the quilt later.) It's a simple layout that's easy to put together. Here's a picture of the completed quilt top.
Then the mystery part kicks in! For 20 days (5 days a week), you will get a daily exercise to work on that lets you complete a block at the same time. I will also do a live video each day to show you how to quilt the daily motif. By the end of the quilt along, you will have a completed 46"x 57" quilt ready for binding PLUS be more confident and comfortable with free motion quilting. The quilt along starts February 1st and ends February 26th. Lessons will run Monday through Friday of each week, 1 pm Eastern time.
The cost for the quilt along is $20, which includes piecing and preparation instructions, 20 different quilting motifs, and 20 live video lessons (one for each exercise). The live videos will be in a private Facebook group specifically for this quilt along, where you'll be able to ask questions as we go and share your progress pictures! If you can't watch the videos when they go live, don't worry. They will stay posted in the group so you can access them at any time.
To sign up for this quilt along, go to the "Practice Makes Progress" listing page to pay.
